Many people use the DEQ2496 in conjunction with the SRC2496 with great results. I know a lot of folks have mixed feelings about Behringer. But from what I've seen here and elsewhere, the DEQ and SRC both seemed to have passed reasonable muster with a lot of people who consider themselves "audiophiles" -- even in an un-modded state.
