Um, I bought it on ebay to replace my crummy old DVD player and, er,
have never actually played a disc in it.  I got it for DVDs and the odd
SACD/DVDA; I never watch DVDs, rip DVDAs (both of the ones I own!) and,
frankly, my system sounds good enough on red-book so I haven't bothered
trying SACDs yet.  Therefore I am not the best person to give you the
advice you seek - sorry!!
