I've just had a look, I did actually own the CD but hadn't realised
that it was hdcd.

The peak extension bit is set throughout the track, and peak extension
is used to some extent.

The smallest and higest samples in the track are -31194 and 31193
(about -0.43dBFS), which after processing become -4885432 and 4885140
(about -4.70dBFS) Without peak expansion, they'd just have been
attenuated by 6dB to give -3992832 and 3992704 (about -6.43dB), so the
peak expansion is having an effect.

You can see how steep the final part of the curve is though, given that
it's mapping 0.43dB to 4.7dB. The threshold value at which the peak
expansion curve goes non-linear is +-22913 (about -3.11dBFS).

Regards,

Chris
