Hi teejay.  I also have a hybrid multi channel / 2 channel system.  The
2 channel amp is a Krell KAV300i that has my SB3 on one input, and the
front L/R preamp out from my HT receiver feeding another input.  This
second input on the Krell is user configurable to bypass the preamp
stage - the HT receiver effectively sees it as a power amp for the
front L/R channels. It all works great. Cheers.
