As someone who has been observing the audiophile phenomenon for a while now I think you have no option but to accept that people that hold irrational beliefs tied up with their sense of self worth cannot happily coexist with the more rational. It is nigh on impossible for the latter not to make fun of the former when presented with their response to rational debate.
Unless you want this forum to be steadily overrun by the irrational I would suggest that teasing within limits is the appropriate response. Audiophiles have not become audiophiles by following a path of reason and they will not be shifted from their beliefs by reason.
