Interesting idea, thanks for the heads-up.  I'm still also keen on the
conversion board for my Pioneer DV747, but worried about both
approaches because of:
a - the increased hassle of ripping
b - uncertainty over getting a bit-perfect copy
c - all sorts of jitter problems, really

I'd be very keen to hear from anyone who has successfully ripped SACDs
regarding performance and, well, just how much of a drag it is!
