I store my FLAC and MP3 files on a 750Gb external USB hard drive. In addition I have 3 further 750Gb external USB hard drives which I use as backup drives, one of which I keep off site at my Mum's house. I use a program called SyncBackSE to do incrimental backups, which seems to work ok for me, but I have often wondered about how reliable my backups actually are!!! It is one thing to do a regular backups, but when disaster strikes it would be even more disasterous to discover that your backups are damaged. I am interested in finding out more about this "flac -test". I run using Windows Vista Ultimate and I was just wondering what I need to do to run "flac -test"? What does flac-test actually do?Is this the best test to run on my backup or is there anything else I should try? With 2369 albums, 29876 songs & 5066 artists I do not want to have to re-rip all these CDs. Plus some of these albums are LPs and 45rpm singles which I have tranferred over to FLAC, and I certainly don't want to re-rip any of them again either. -- norderney Transporter (Black) - Arcam A85 Amp - B&W CDM1NT Speakers - Yamaha CDRHD1500 Recorder ------------------------------------------------------------------------ norderney's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=378 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42358 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
