It's not just below the electronic noise floor, it's below the -acoustic- noise floor. It has a smaller effect on a speaker cone or your eardrums than the fluctuations in pressure due to the fact that air is made of molecules rather than being a continuous fluid (i.e. Brownian motion). If you can hear it, you can determine the molecular weights of air by listening.
