I really wasn't trying to say that the Beresford doesn't sound "good", since as you say, I haven't heard it. What I was trying to do is caution the OP against thinking that Duet's DAC can be so easily and cheaply bettered. If, as you state, the Beresford is a real giant killer, then great but all too often in the world of audio people end up spending large sums of money only to get marginal, if any, improvement.
