I find downmixes to 2 channel from anything sound just ok. The 2 Channel CD's usually sound better. I think almost all my DVD-A are multi-channel only and I already have the DTS rips so I think I'm done. The DTS track on DSOTM is almost indistinguishable from the MLP as were many DVDA's I had. I ripped them and put them on Transporter and sold the DVDA player with no regrets. I wish I could do the same with SACD MultiChannel mixes. But it's nice to get the 24/88.2 2 Channel mix as a compromise. -- mswlogo XP > Cat5 > Transporter > SPDIF > Meridian G68 > DSP6000, DSP5500HC, DSP5000 XP > Cat5 > SB3 > SPDIF > Meridian DSP5000 XP > Cat5 > SB3 > SPDIF > Meridian G91 > DSP5000 'My Transporter Setup' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=350741&postcount=45) 'Hitch Hikers Guide to Meridian' (http://www.meridianunplugged.com) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mswlogo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9090 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55729 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
