Are these temporary drop outs? Does it stutter before stopping? If so it could be due to the wireless network.
Do you use channel 11 in a built up area? Myself and others I know have had problems using channel 11 on their wireless network. There's nothing wrong with channel 11 per se. The problem is that a lot of wireless access points default to channel 11. If there are other wireless networks nearby they can clash so playing with the channel can help. Internet radio is less demanding than lossless rips in terms of bandwidth.
