If you like the sound your getting from your DAC it's good :) VortexBox is a self installing ISO that is based on Fedora 10. You can not run it on other Linux systems.
No way around the DRM problem. VortexBox only plays DRM free music. That's funny I was just looking at the OMEGA STRIKER yesterday. It has very impressive specs for the cost. It uses the maudio chip so my guess is it works very well with Linux.
