No, not really. There is no law of the universe that requires switching PSU's to be "a bad thing". Several high-end manufacturers use them... More importantly, both myself and iPhone have conducted tests using AudioDiffMaker on a wide variety of power supplies (including dry cells) and found no discernible difference. To REALLY make a difference, one would have to dissect the circuit which is what the SB+ does. I'm prepared to believe that this will improve the analogue output a little (but I haven't heard one).
