Thank you again for your time. I was under the impression that anything above the input voltage, at which the amp delivers full power, would make the amp clip.
I hear when I push my speakers or amp for that matter to much. Limiting the power is mostly a safeguard for not having a pre amp. I Imagine my wife turning on the gear and the Transporter immediately starts playing at 0db... I just read this article http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Connect_To_PowerAmp.
