As I said, the Oppo will only put out 16/96 via coax. Most players put
out 24/48 instead. This is enforced by the industry.

Strange choice by Oppo in my view since 24 bits are much more useful
than the higher sampling rate.

Yes it will put out everything over HDMI, which is only useful if you
have an HDMI capable (AV) amp.

If you have DVD-A's then you can rip them at 24/96 or 24/192 (depending
on what is on the disk) onto a PC and play them back perfectly on the
TP.

SACD's won't do any of this.
