First of all - I dont know jack s**t about what I'm talking about, but the only way I can understand why the USB interface is subject to audible differences in cables is due to the streaming and clock oriented transmission of data vs. the packet delivery over ethernet. Hence the reason USB is subject to jitter as is SPDIF.
