The TP is a nice dac in itself, and keeping transport+dac in the same box is a far better solution design-wise (and jitter-wise) than two separates. Things get better with outboard dacs, as time passes, nevertheless, you'll need a better dac than the TP to counter-balance the spdif interface quality drop.
