Out of curiosity i tried one. The input on the left is a resampled fullscale impulse with pre-ringing. I tried one of the suggested methods on that impulse "rate -v -M -a -b 85 88200 sinc -M -t 1 44000-22000"
The timescale is the same, at least as near i was able to fit them in Audacity.
