Sorry for completely derailing what once was a decent tread, that actually had some info on the subject choosen by the OP. :)
On the topic again. The most practical way to listen to lossles files on a squeezebox is flac in the form of a single file per song decently tagged and with embedded artwork. And don't bother with file type settings or editing convert.conf files, let the server stream native flac to the players. Sometimes go with the flow and use a product exactly as intended by the designers is the best, it just works ! -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: SB3 (soon to replaced by a Touch :) It is on preorder) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: Receiver (soon to be replaced by my SB3 and the SBR to be stuffed in a box in the attic ) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74724 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
