Thanks for your replies I would just add that I have no intention of effecting the repair myself. I just wanted to know if anyone else had suffered the same symptoms and keep my option open. Logitech have not yet replied, if I have to ship from the UK to USA a repair may not be cost effective sorry I should have made that clear.
