DACs do make a "difference" and in many cases are far superior to others, but the better DACs come with a price! I have the Transporter - I trust it is DAC of high repute because of where I have been able to go with it (her). My experience is that our systems need to be handled in the way THEY prefer. A sophisticated beau requires special consideration and care! If your DAC is 2 dimensional and not very interesting. Ditch her (him)! You have to pay the price. It doesnt have to be $10K anymore. $300 might get you a nice date to the HS football game, and a little bleacher action. You have to be realistic.
