AFAIK all the HDCD decoders work exactly the same as they have the same
source. What 4 bits you mean? If there are 4 bits zeroes they are the
"lower" 4 bits that are drown in the noise floor. You may be able to
amplify the resulting files by some dB. Sometimes even 1 bit, 6dB. But
this is a lossy aproach until you have software that shift these 6 dB
and doesn´t apply normal gain.
