Diego, I answered your question: 1) I have equipment that shows the sample rate coming out of the Touch 2) I have done the DTS and HDCD tests (and other tests) that prove "bit-perfect" streams. 3) The SBS bitrate display is meaningless because of transcoding and/or native handling. It only ever worked for fixed rate streams such as MP3 CBR or PCM. It doesn't have any meaning for FLAC. Let me try one last time: the server reports the bit rate as implied by the file on disk. It does not report what actually streams to the player because it doesn't know happens to the file during that process - it doesn't know if the file passes through lame, sox, etc etc and it doesn't know what those processes do to the sample rate/bit depth/compression ratios etc. Phil PS the "attitude" comes from the fact that you asked a question and got replies from people who really know what they are talking about, but you don't believe them? - you even question the developer (Andy Grundman)!!! -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
