I've read about studies that show we're not that sensitive to phase. I could try to find a reference. Most speakers are not designed for time coherence (with a few current exceptions, e.g. Vandersteen, Green Mountain Audio, Thiel.) You can see this if you peruse the speaker measurements at Stereophile.
