With the Beatles remasters I got some nice original album art with inserts etc. Brought back some nice "album" vibes, now that I no longer have the albums. Thats worth something to me. I dont expect the same quality presentation with a download, that would be unrealistic. I havent spent much time looking at the pdf that comes with my downloads. That goes with the territory, but that is not "value added" for the customer. I could just as easily google search the album while I'm playing it and enjoy much more content than the pdf provides with the download. What I also like is how John Mellencamp on "Life Death, Love and Freedom" included a 24/96 DVD audio disk along with the redbook version. I didnt pay $29 for it either! More like $13. That is also an option for music companies if they want to give someone something more tangible, therefor potentially avoiding backlash expressed through illegal downloads. -- earwaxer9 System: modified Winsome Labs Mouse, modified Maggie MMG's, Transporter, HSU sub 12, MSB DAC to 500 watt sub slave amp, JPS labs power cords, Silver audio interconnect, Audioquest Granite speaker cable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ earwaxer9's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39527 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86017 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
