You ask to much to explain. The pro peole will grub out all kinds of
audiophile vovabulary to describe all types of filters. Most likely the
same vocabulary will be valid for parts of other filters.

some filters simply affect frequencys you can barely hear and so may
change your perception in a way. If it is better!? You have to decide.

Read some and you will find out that some of these filters change the
phase, some lower highs energy from 18KHz on and even lower, and some
filters give solution to a problem on an impulse graph that happens
above 20kHz you won´t hear at all unless you hear the curing filter
that changes frequencys you can hear ;)

The same problem may be a non-issue for other big brands in the
business. Most likely because they don´t have the patend to make it an
issue :)
