Gain adjust is critical - without it you will get clipping on
upsampling - sox will report all clipped samples in its output...
Also you should try the linear filter (in SOX this is the default:
option
"-L" (not -I or -M)
Ah - I see that is your second FLC FLC * * line... :-)
