I was going to suggest that you try a tube amp, but I don't know what's a good buy in the UK. Otherwise I'd suggest trying a Rogue Atlas. Still, the price seems reasonable considering the importers take and VAT, £1389.37 from Stone Audio vs. $1,595 from Rogue.
