Easy question for me. Buy a Touch. I had a SB3 and Lavry DAC that I enjoyed greatly. When I got my Touch 18 months ago, I ran it level matched and synced against the SB3/Lavry. I found I could not reliably tell which was which. I ended up selling the Lavry and have run with the Touch solo since. Haven't had an urge to change anything in the ensuing year and a half.
However, others feel different, but I find the Touch eminently listenable by itself.
