Sadly many radio stations apply dynamic compression to their feed -
regardless whether you hear it via low bitrate, high bitrate, FM or
DAB. This is the probably the main issue with radio from my POV. The
reasons have been discussed here before - the typical radio listening
environment is noisy e.g. car.

However, there are some notable exceptions. In the UK, BBC Radio 3 and
4 don't have much dynamic compression.

There's nothing you can about dynamic compression AFAIK. Apart from
complain about it at every opportunity...that's what I do(!)
