A good option with EDO is the Audiolab M-DAC. There is a good number of
users of this combination who seem happy with it.

The M-DAC doesn't currently support 192/24 on its USB port, but there is
a solution in the works (at extra cost). This DAC has some features
which you may appreciate, including the abilitiy to replace a preamp
(and add remote control capability to a tube system) provided you don't
use analog surces, multiple filters (thus sound choices), an instructive
and clear display and an upgrade path (improved power supply, analog
preamp, USB2). Although its unique selling proposition in my view is the
support which its designer, John Westlake, is providing on the Pink Fish
Media (!) forum.

The same designer is working with CREEK on a budget DAC which should be
cheaper and may even sound better (proof will be in the pudding!)
