Well Bryston migth seems expensive at 2k$ for a streamer + high quality DAC .
They are still 5-10 times cheaper than then typical boutique brands they outperform , we have posters recommending 30k$ DAC's :P and states that it is healthy with a good disregard for cost ( in reality price ) . IMO a expensive DAC is a bit anachronistic too, but there are to few brands offering digital speakers with either a DAC in each speaker or in the best of worlds a DAC per driver and digital xover .
