No digital output on the Sony HAP-Z1ES !? That's a very limited design , they practically exclude everyone with a modern surround sound system .AV amplifiers and HT recievers are best served with a digital source for the obvious reason that most of them have no "pure" analog signal path , the analog inputs are AD converted and then conected to its digital signal path like every other source ? So then you will be listening to the combined distortion of two DAC's and one ADC.
