Neil Young is a very good guitar player, and has written some great songs, but he doesn't know squish-diddly about the physics of sound, or about engineering. Using his name to hawk bigger-is-better audio is, as people in the article say, simply a marketing ploy, like getting a basketball star to sell shoes. Young's opinions about song composition might have some relevance and meaning; his opinions about digital audio engineering are worthless.
