This isn't about audio companies, it is about audiophiles. When
audiophiles use evaluation techniques that produce exceptionally high
percentages of false positives and false negatives, the big losers are

When audiophiles When audiophiles use evaluation techniques that are
reliable, it is likely as not that they will still buy new audio gear,
and the manufacturers and dealers will still profit. The audiophiles
will just make better choices and get closer to the audio perfection
they desire a little quicker or perhaps a lot quicker.
