Welcome to Barry! With all those devices at hand, you could really help out with testing. Try getting the latest CVS compiled and working, and report any difficulties you have. > I'd probably be most useful doing any device-side programming that's > needed, such a support deamon or client application. The JavaLoader side of things still needs to be reverse engineered and implemented. Take a look at doc/USB-capture.txt for the 2 ways to capture USB traffic, and pick which one works the best for you. Even just documenting the protocol would be a great help. There are two programs in tools/ (translate and ktrans) for working with the logs, depending which capture method you choose. > Can anyone tell me where the project is in regards to the roadmap at > http://www.netdirect.ca/software/packages/barry/roadmap.php ? The TODO file in CVS contains an updated list. The items marked with '+' are done. The main finished items are: charging on linux; some Pearl support; database read and write; parsing of Calendar, Address Book, and Email records; and a GUI for full database backup and restore. There is also a partial OpenSync plugin which has not been finished yet. GPRS modem functionality is in the works, but not complete. So someone working on JavaLoader would be fantastic. :-) - Chris ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
