At the bottom left of the window is a drop-down menu specifying what
the expected format of the file will be to control

I am using a trial version of BBEdit and have a file which needs to
be
edited using XML. When creating a document in BBEdit I don't see
 anywhere you can select
XML as a preference to start the document. Does BBEdit provide for
 working with XML?
 Thanks
