I have some book recommendations on http://perl-begin.org/ (and some
recommendations to online resources), and have written some book reviews on
http://www.shlomifish.org/philosophy/books-recommends/ and on:

* http://perl.org.il/library.html (though you'll have to dig through the
individual books).

I can especially recommend these:

1. Perl Best Practices - but see:

https://www.socialtext.net/perl5/index.cgi?perl_best_practices

2. Mastering Perl is good, even though it didn't teach me a lot new:

http://github.com/shlomif/mastering-perl

3. I can also recommend chromatic's "Modern Perl" book:

http://www.modernperlbooks.com/mt/2010/10/modern-perl-the-book-the-draft-
pdf.html

4. "Programming Perl", 3rd edition is a good book, but it encourages some bad
practices and showing its age. May still be useful after reading PBP and other
books.
