Hi Folks,

Today, at about noon, there was a dozen WESTERN WILLET at the Hillman
shorebird cell. Also present were GREEN and BLUE-WINGED TEAL, NORTHERN
SHOVELER, and many DUNLIN.

Pelee this afternoon (poor time for birding) yielded RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at
Tilden's Woods as well as a couple of WOOD THRUSHES amongst more common
migrants, as well as 7 species of expected warblers. Other highlights were a
pair of RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS at the Tip and at the shuttle stop there was
a RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER. Most warblers were at the Tip as well. A good
prequel to my next two mornings here!

I briefly saw the NEOTROPIC CORMORANT at Muddy Creek in Wheatley about 30
minutes ago. It took off towards the harbour with a couple of
double-cresteds to hopefully return. It wasn't around this morning.

Hillman Marsh is located at County Roads 19 and 37 half way between
Wheatley and Leamington, and north of Point Pelee National Park.

Good Birding,

Lev Frid
