Just wanted to chime in on this thread. A more cheaper alternative to the zip ties are twist ties that come on the end of bread bags.
Cince they will be coming down after Christmas, you may not want to spend all that money on something like zip ties, as most of them will have to be discarded after you're done with them. A twist tie will come undone rather quickly, and if you want to re-use them again, you can just pack them away with the lights. You can also get speaker wire, and cut them to length, then just twist them into place. Victor Gouveia
