Well, isn't it obvious, Duct tape! Releasable cable ties are good too if you've something to wrap around.
Actually the tape would probably leave an adhesive mess on the paint. I would not use wire twist ties as the wire just might cut through the insulation and cause a short. How about good old string. Tom
