I think the point Matt is making here is that if the best players played
mixed we could probably have acheived first place in mixed, but then those
players would not have played open and womens, and therefore we would have
got lower in those. We can't clone them and have them play in both leagues.
Surely you can't disagree with that?

We could have had a 1st place UK finish at Europeans in the mixed
division, but that would have meant lower overall finishing positions for
the open and womens teams.
