Hi, Team Shark is (re)forming in Oxford to fill the void left by Discuits moving to concentrate soley on the mixed scene.
Training sessions will commence this Sunday 8th Feb, 1 - 4pm @ Warneford Hospital, OX3 7JX and will continue weekly forever ... well that's the hope :-) We would like to invite *any* players interested in playing some competitive ultimate in Oxford to come along to any & all training sessions they can make. At the moment we have had interest from almost 40 people from juniors at local schools, Oxford (OW!) & Brookes (BUF) University Students, to Discuits Open players from seasons past. Hopefully this means we'll be looking at sending 2 (or more) teams to Tour. Our aims this season are to entrench ourselves in the A Tour, following on from Discuits Open, and build up a sustainable Ultimate community being fed by local schools, universities & open players. We have secured ourselves quite a nice training ground with free parking, changing rooms, hot showers, tea/coffee & drinking water on tap; just a stone's throw from the pitch (see map on website).
