Hi Ultimate Lovers, Following on our previous email, this is to remind you that our open trainings are ON: This Sunday, 21/02/10 at 12.30 Next Sunday, 28/02/10 at 12.30 Practice is in Kennington Park - Nearest station is Oval (Northern Line). After being born in London Ultimate world merely five months ago, we have managed to compete and secured our seeding at the 4th place on London Winter League last Sunday. We pride ourselves for being a unique club; the only Ultimate club which has another sister club in Slovakia, has widely diversed players based in different parts of England, we've got players who live in Oxford, Reading and Nottingham, and they come down to play with us!. We would love to hear from you if you have a couple of years experience in playing Ultimate behind you, if you are determined to improve the level of your game, your skills, and want to join a diversed, fun but competitive team to compete nationally and internationally. Our friendly team is based in South London, but we are open to players outside of the capital too. It will be our first season in the UK mixed tour and we are aiming to compete in the top 16. We are now looking for two more ladies or couples to join us for this season. If you are interested, please attend one or all of our trial sessions this month on the following dates: Sunday 21st February 12:30 Kennington park, Oval tube station Sunday 28th February 12:30 Kennington park, Oval tube station FYI, we still have one more place for a female player to play with us in Mix London Winter league on Sunday 14.2. Golden Ants will be competing in the following events: Mixed Tour 1: 27-28th March Mixed Tour 2: 17-18th April Mixed Tour 3 : 15-16th May Paganello : 1-5.April and more tournaments in summer + the London Summer League. We established our team exactly 5 months ago, on 09-09-09. Since then we have practised hard and played in all Mixed and Open Winter League events in London and put in a great performance, especially given our recent set up. We have a great core of players and we are living up to our team objectives and we believe our positive attitude on the field and strive to improve is really unique. We are all excited as we have just received our new team discs from the U.S. and we have finalised the design for our new team kit, soon to be ordered with Lookfly. Golden Ants is proud to be a diverse team and at the moment we have players representing more than 10 different nationalities: English, Irish, Swiss, Slovakian, German, Columbian, Australian, American, Canadian, Chinese, Indonesian and Polish. At least 6 of us are also going to play in WUCC in Prague this summer.
