If I make a > purchase, I want it to last for a long time. I have been using an BC680 from Alva for over eight years. Then I needed some maintenance on some of the braille cells but they don't do maintenance on such old stuff. The insurance replaced it with a Focus80 by Freedomscientific and so far I'm very pleased with it. The Alva was very expensive, 10000 euro, the focus80 is much cheaper, 4000 euro. So I do understand the insurance when they decided to give me a cheaper display. I mean even if it fails sooner you can have 2.5 for the same price. But I don't think that will be necessary.
