next month for the leading role of Effie White, played
famously by 
Jennifer Holiday in the original stage production.
Directed by Bill Condon, 
the production is in search of a plus-sized
African-American 
actress/singer in her early-late 20s (no older). She
should have a huge gospel 
belt voice with great power and range. All body types
from a few extra 
pounds to full-figured are welcome. 
DATE: Saturday July 16th, 2005 (Call Backs will be
Sunday July 17th) 
TIME: Check-in begins at 10 a.m. and will be on a
first-come, 
first-served basis. Check-in time cut-off is 1 p.m.
