Next week 20 dogs are being transported to South Florida and are in need of temporary foster homes. They will all come "surrendered" by owners with names and contact numbers of the owners. The dogs will arrive and board at Pet Lover Central on Federal Highway. If we can find temporary homes for these 20 dogs, we will rescue 20 more. If you can assist in helping out with these dogs, please contact me.
We also have a couple in their late 30's from New Orleans. They evacuated to South Florida with their two small dogs and are staying in a hotel in Delray Beach. They are in desperate need of temporary housing, possibly for several months. She is a physician(internist), and he in sales. Everything they have was left behind. She believes FEMA will help out with rent if anyone knows of a place for them to stay. Both are non smokers, dogs are "Catahoula", bred specifically in new Orleans and referred to as "New Orleans Dogs". Dogs are both 1 year old and are brother and sister.
