Young African american painters needed for a documentary entitled
"Colored
Frames," to air potentially on PBS, targeted to begin shooting in
November
in order to be picked up for Black History Month, We are
documentary film
makers, graduates of NYU and living in the city looking to
understand what
the life
of the young black painter is, or rather has become. What is your
art? How
does
it influence your "blackness" and vice versa?
We are looking to pick perhaps five or six artists and follow them
around
for a month, please send information to Nonso Chrisitian Ugbode @

above including any websites where we can view your work, any gallery
addresses
where we can view your pieces, and also a biography. In your email
please
describe why you feel you would be a good candidate for a project
such as
this.
We are excited to see what we receive as we are very aware that a
project
like this is sorely needed, we are not looking to portray any specific
"black
art" but to show that in the end art does transcend.
