MAN TO STAND TRIAL FOR EX-WIFE'S MURDER A 32-year-old man will go to trial Aug. 7 in the 2004 murder of his ex-wife. Kevin Nicholson of Miramar was charged with murder after the killing of his ex-wife Lorie Nicholson-Tennant in Hollywood. He is in the Broward County jail. Nicholson faces the death penalty if convicted. Nicholson-Tennant, 25, was active in the local poetry scene where she was known as Elle. Her poetry focused on domestic violence and her tortured personal relationship with a man. She left behind two sons, ages 3 and 5. Police said Nicholson broke into Nicholson-Tennant's home and stabbed her several times on Aug. 26, 2004. Ingrid B On The B Side Inc.
