Description of Services:

The Windows Internet of Things Client is developing the platforms that
deliver the power of Windows and Microsoft experiences to a world of
connected specialized devices. The Windows and Windows Embedded powers many
of the devices you use every day, and enables those devices to connect to
Windows PCs, servers, and Microsoft cloud services. From in-vehicle
infotainment and connected media devices to digital signage, industrial
automation, retail POS, and handheld terminals.



We are looking for technical individual responsible for partnering with
Microsoft EPG account teams, embedded partner teams, Device Solution
Specialists, and key Microsoft OEMs to help drive WEB volume licensing
revenue, secure visible reference accounts, drive partner pipeline and help
drive the overall Windows Embedded industry device business.



*Job duties:*

Provide Microsoft Account Teams and customers with technical and licensing
support for both embedded client and embedded hand-held operating system.
Technical support ranges from product demonstrations, feature reviews (both
traditional and embedded), trainings (both remove and/or on-site), image
creation/deployment, device management and problem troubleshoot. The
Embedded Licensing for this team is based on Microsoft’s traditional Volume
Licensing program, so VL knowledge is a must and an understanding of
Microsoft OEM licensing model is extremely helpful. While the Microsoft
account team mainly manages the customers, this position requires proactive
communication with customers with or without direct involvement or
direction from the account team. In this position you must be able to take
charge from a technical aspect and drive issues to resolution. There are
different layers of support and resources from other groups from within
Microsoft that will often need to be brought in depending on the customers’
requirements. It’s often necessary to determine when those outside
resources are needed as well as manage scheduling their time and ensuring
they driving to a resolution





*Basic Qualifications:*

- Bachelors in Computer Engineering/science preferred

- A minimum of 3-5 years working with Microsoft Embedded Client Operating
Systems (WES2009/7/8, POSReady 2009/7, 8.1 Industry, Windows CE/HH)

- Good understanding of Microsoft’s Volume and OEM Licensing

- Microsoft Office productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
SharePoint, Lync, OneDrive, etc…) .

- Working knowledge of computer hardware and networking

- Good understanding of the POS/Retail vertical

- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills

- Resourcefulness in solving problems and overcoming obstacles

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong professionalism and judgment
